Biography

Li Yangzhe, male, a Han Chinese, is a native of Heyang of Shaanxi Province. He was born in May 1962, started his career in July 1983 and joined the CPC in September 1986. Li Yangzhe obtains a master degree in economics.

He worked successively as Assistant Researcher of the General Office of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, Deputy Director of the General Office of All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, Deputy Director General of the Research Office of the General Office (director level) of All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, Director of the Comprehensive Department, Researcher of the Department of Analysis and Forecast, and Secretary of the General Office of State Economic and Trade Commission.

From September 2002, he was successively appointed as Assistant Inspector of the General Office and Economic Operation Bureau of the State Economic and Trade Commission, Assistant Inspector and Deputy Director General of the Economic Operation Bureau, and Deputy Director General of the Bureau of Economic Operation and Adjustment of the National Development and Reform Commission.

In May 2009, he started to serve as Director General of National Energy Conservation Center (Director General level) and Director General of the Energy Conservation Information Center of the NDRC.

He was appointed Director General of the Bureau of Economic Operations and Adjustment of the NDRC in April 2014.

In May 2016, he became Deputy Director General and member of the CPC Leadership Group of National Energy Administration (he served as member of The Three Gorges Project Construction Committee of the State Council from August 2016).

In April 2017, he was appointed Chief Inspector of Inspector's Office of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China at the Ministry of Commerce and member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce.

In June 2018, he was appointed Chief Inspector of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) of the PRC at the Ministry of Commerce and member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce.

Li Yangzhe is a member of the 19th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
